ByteDance has just announced Seedance 2.5 at the Volcano Engine FORCE conference (23/6/2026) — a major upgrade to its AI video generation model line that is leading the market. For marketers and content creators, this is a signal that “one-click” video ad production is moving very fast.
What’s new in Seedance 2.5?
Seedance 2.5 brings four notable upgrades:
- 30-second seamless single-shot video — create a continuous 30-second shot, keeping the setting, characters, and story flow intact in a single generation (version 2.0 maxed out at 15 seconds).
- Up to 50 reference materials (images + video + audio) — helping the model stay true to brand identity and complex requirements, making it suitable for commercials and short dramas.
- Local editing + 3D blockout — fix small errors without re-rendering the entire clip; “3D blockout” lets you plan camera angles and composition in advance.
- 4K support and 20% better prompt adherence — delivers more accurate results and requires fewer regenerations.
Why should marketers pay attention?
Video production becomes faster and cheaper: 30 seconds per scene plus local editing can shorten workflows compared with traditional shooting and editing, especially for short-form content like Reels, TikTok, or sales videos. The ability to load 50 references helps preserve brand identity, while better prompt adherence reduces the risk of rework — a key factor in bringing AI video into real production schedules.
When will it be available?
Seedance 2.5 is currently in beta for global enterprises, with a public launch expected in early July. Notably, Seedance 2.0 was already the world’s No. 1 video generation model, leading the Artificial Analysis Video Arena in both text-to-video and image-to-video in early 2026, so version 2.5 is expected to keep the crown.
A perspective for Vietnamese marketers
AI video is narrowing the gap between an idea and a publishable finished product. For small shops and agencies, this is an opportunity to produce high-quality advertising videos in-house without a large crew — but a strong script and the right message are still essential, because the tool is only a tool. It’s worth testing early when the public version opens so you don’t fall behind.
